About Porsche

Dynamic sport cars from Porsche

The traditional Porsche brand had its beginnings in the 1930s. Ferdinand Porsche, then an unassuming engineer, opened his own design office in Stuttgart. What began modestly with just a few employees became a major success story over time. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche designed the famous 911 in the third generation, which followed from 1963 and is offered as Carrera, Speedster or Turbo. Even today, the typical design with the eye headlights is recognizable in the Porsche models. With superior quality, extravagant designs and driving dynamics that make you want more, Porsche is considered the epitome of Made in Germany. In 1972, Porsche became a stock corporation. In 1984, Porsche went public. The Boxster was first presented as a prototype at the Detroit Motor Show in 1993 and was available for customers from 1996. With the Porsche Cayenne, the carmaker entered the SUV segment from 2002. The Porsche logo was used from 1953 and has adorned the front hood of every production Porsche since 1954, with only minor details changing over time. The logo is made up of three elements: the words "Porsche" and "Stuttgart", the coat of arms of the free state of Württemberg and the Stuttgart heraldic animal. They are intended to embody the importance of the Zuffenhausen production site.

Porsche car performance gets you where you want to go

When it comes to engines, Porsche is a pioneer in new development, innovation and technology. The rule here is: It's better to have a little more under the hood. The typical Porsche 911 Carrera S has an engine installed in the rear and drives the rear wheels. It produces 450 hp with a displacement of 2,981 cc. With a torque of 530 NM, driving pleasure is included. Porsche combines the highest engineering art in its models and you benefit from it. With constant further developments, the vehicle manufacturer stays up to date and even sets certain trends. Porsche has been part of the VW Group since 2009 and has expanded its model range in recent years to include the Porsche Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera and Taycan.
