The Porsche logo was used from 1953 and has adorned the front hood of every production Porsche since 1954, with only minor details changing over time. The logo is made up of three elements: the words "Porsche" and "Stuttgart", the coat of arms of the free state of Württemberg and the Stuttgart heraldic animal. They are intended to embody the importance of the Zuffenhausen production site.
