Legendary, global car brand

Audi was founded in 1909 by August Horch. Its brand name comes from the Latin translation of Mr. Horch family name. Since the late 1960s, Audi has been part of the VW Group, where it forms the VAG Group together with Volkswagen. Audi is driven by all kinds of classes, whether they are young tuning enthusiasts or retired drivers, because the brand offers such an extensive model portfolio that there is something for everyone. However, the brand did not make the leap into the premium segment until the 1990s, when the first Audi A8 was launched. At the time, it outshone the competition with its revolutionary aluminum space frame body, as it was considerably lighter than its competitors and offered sporty and manageable handling despite being front-wheel drive. A legend of the Audi model range is of course the homologation model for the World Rally Championship called Sport Quattro, which was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1983.
